Apparently it is becoming more rampant. Just today, I read a news article about a sheriff's department whose domain name 'expired' even though they had it registered until November! The domain is now owned by another company which has it redirecting to a pornographic website. I'm convinced there are certain domain name registrars that are dishonest in their dealings and do this kind of thing. I've had my domain name with 000domains.com and I've never had a problem. Enjoy this issue's article from Ralph Hilliard. I enjoy receiving your emails, Jonathan ==========================================================- 2. Tables. Cool Tool : Macromedia Dreamweaver Over the years, I've experimented with many different methods to design a website. I've tried those automatic things where you type in the info and the program/script does the work. The result of the pages designed using this method were usually very poor. I've used text editors where you have to spend hours typing code in. While the result is often nice, the time and effort spent.. getting to the final result was quite a bit. Especially if you wanted to do something with tables. And I've used the WYSIWYG(what
you see is what you get) editors. I have used many editors which would
fit into this category. A few years ago, using a WYSIWYG editor wasn't the best way to go because the editors were simply junk So, after all those years.. what have I finally ended up with? About 3 years ago, I downloaded a trial version of Macromedia Dreamweaver. I was a bit skeptical, mainly because the name Dreamweaver sounds almost childish. As soon as I started using the program, I knew it was powerful. It no longer took hours to write some tables with a text editor. I didn't waste time wrestling with my WYSIWYG editor, like I had when I used FrontPage. And so here I am. My dad and grandparents helped me pay for Macromedia Dreamweaver. And even though the price is high, I've never regretted switching to this editor. It's much better than any of the free editors. Perhaps, the best thing about this WYSIWYG editor is the fact that WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET! And I'm not the only person who thinks so! Ralph Hilliard, founder of WordNet University (http://www.prowebsitemanagement.com/wordnet.html), requests that all students purchase Dreamweaver for his courses.
